. Name of Project : Sakriya Project
2. Introduction of Project : Sakriya Project is implemented in three working areas of Dhading District, Dhunibeshi Municipality, Thankre Rural Municipality & Gajuri Rural Municipality in the mutual partnership between Prayatnashil Community Development Society (PRAYAS-Nepal) to implement with the objective of minimizing labor exploitation. It has been operated with the objective of minimizing child labor and labor exploitation in the industries and hotels of various sectors.
3. Duration of Project : Oct 2019 to jan 2022
4. Targeted Service recipients of the project : Child laborers in various fields (e.g. brick industry, gas industry, hotel, transportation)
5. The main Activities of the project :
· To minimize child labor by rescuing children involved in hazardous labor,
· Assist in the preparation of local level and institutional guidelines,
· Rescue children at risk through a disaster management process,
· Identify areas where children can be used for labor and conduct camps in those areas,
·
6. The main achievements of the project :
· Identification of areas where children are used in labor
· Accurate facts about working children
· Prepare directories of villages and municipalities
· Orientation on the parameters required at the local level for incident management
